Aalam Learning centre is your neighbourhood, minimalistic play school. Our focus is to create a joyous playful learning environment where children are encouraged to discover what they value the most by experimenting. We hope to create young minds which break life into its simplest elements and enjoy them thoroughly.

 What does Aalam mean?

What does
Aalam mean?

Aalam (ஆலம்)
ālam/noun

Banyan Tree (An Indian fig tree, the branches of which produce wide-ranging aerial roots which later become accessory trunks). Like the good old Banyan tree which nurtures everyone who comes towards her, Aalam will help every child coming towards her.

Hello,

We are Abinaya and Gokul. And this is our story.
We wanted to start a school where learning happens without education....
where there are no rights and wrongs....
where our children learn to accept how they (and others) are....
where our children learn to have fun at every moment....
where contentment is valued as much as ambitiousness....
where children learn to express freely....
where children learn breaking things.

They say it takes a village to raise a child. It is indeed. We are doing our bit to bring the village together. We hope we can mutually help each other in this beautiful journey.

Welcome to Aalam!

Abinaya and Gokul
